Why Ascent Homes love using our solution!
Northumberland based home developer Ascent Homes have been using our solution for 9 months now. We caught up with Claire Scott – Head of Residential Sales and Marketing, to talk about her experience with us, what it’s like to use on a daily basis, and how it’s affected their life on site.
Did you have any initial reservations about using Trench Networks?
I’ll admit I was dubious as to whether they would be able to deliver the solution that they said they could simply because of the huge problems we had experienced up until then. As far as we were aware there were only two ways to get site communications: use dongles which were so unreliable, or wait months for BT to install a fixed line. The continued problems we were having trying to get our sites connected made me wonder if we were ever going to be able to get a solution that worked for us or if we were always going to have this struggle.
How did you find the experience with Trench Networks and using their solution?
It is just so simple. These guys know what they’re talking about. They come from construction too which, for me, was a huge bonus. They knew what we needed and what to ask before we even did. Our sites all tend to be different. From brand new developments to renovating listed buildings, and their ability to be able to adapt their solution to any situation is amazing. They’re always on hand if we need any assistance and the performance we have had out of their Outpost is second to none.
What did you use for on site communications before using Trench Networks?
We just used dongles which were no good.
How has Trench Networks helped Ascent Homes on sites and in Sales Offices?
Having their solution on sites from day one has meant our workflow is a lot more efficient, quicker and reliable. It saves us time and effort which both cost money so being able to get things in place straight away just makes starting a new development so much more efficient. The staff in the cabins are able to get in touch with suppliers, sub contractors and head office quickly and easily from day one so the project, from a comms point of view, is not held up. When we’re ready for the sales office they supply us with phones and landline numbers too. They just sort everything out for us.
Finally, is there anything else you would like to add about Trench Networks and their solution?
Definitely: it is a revolutionary piece of kit. I call it the magic box! They are so helpful and it is just one less thing for us to have to worry about sorting out. It is essential to have first class communications on site and this is what they deliver every time without fail. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
