In July 2017, Erimus Housing, Housing Hartlepool, Tees Valley Housing, Tristar Homes and Thirteen Care and Support joined in partnership to create one strong social purpose business called Thirteen.
Together with a 1500 strong team they provide services for more than 70,000 customers across Teesside and other areas of the North East, including North Yorkshire, County Durham, and Tyne and Wear. Their projects range from New Build housing to Pre-Existing.

We had always struggled to find a reliable, well preforming method for connecting our site offices to the internet. The nature of our business meant that there would be no pre-existing broadband infrastructure available on our new build opportunity sites.
As we progressed with our digitisation projects internally it meant that our colleagues at these site offices were required to be connected & online to complete their job role. We had previously tried traditional mobile hot spots which often resulted in poor connection speeds & continuous dropouts and would never cope with the demands of multiple staff accessing online resources.
We were becoming increasingly frustrated by not being able to provide reliable & fast internet connectivity to our new developments and investment sites.
We soon reached out to Trench Networks after initially reading about their outpost solution in 2019 & soon had a proof of concept setup at 3 of our site offices.
The feedback was tremendous from staff on site with fast, reliable connectivity back to our main office enabling staff to ultimately be more connected, informed & a reduction in time spent travelling back to the main office.
We implemented Trench’s Outpost router which improved the performance & reliability immediately so our staff could complete work on site resulting in higher productivity and also making it more cost effective by eliminating the need to travel back to one of our branch offices in order to complete their work.
