Background
Founded in 2015 by our CEO Kevin Latimer, Trench Networks has experienced phenomenal growth as the need for reliable internet connectivity has become a necessity.
As an IT manager in the construction industry, Kev became increasingly frustrated with the unreliability of the internet connections supplied to his sites. BIM was becoming a standard onsite requirement, demanding large amounts of regular data transfer, any downtime would result in loss of productivity and costly delays. The off-the-shelf solutions were simply not good enough to support remote teams working on sites that were – quite literally – in the middle of nowhere. With over 20 years industry experience, it was clear that there was a real need for a fast, secure, and reliable internet connection. Kevin decided that it was the right time his to develop his own solution, Trench Networks, and after lots of hard work in his dedicated R&D facility (his kitchen table), the first ‘Outpost’ was born.
